Registrations are UP!
Exciting news—TRLD Registrations and Hotel Reservations are up! In fact, they're not only up over last year, but also surpassing our banner year, 2006! That's good news for our exhibitors!

Read below for ways you can take advantage of the high attendance level, even if you won't be in attendance yourself. Then be sure to save the date for 2009: January 22-24th, San Francisco, CA. You need to be there!

Your "Presence" is Requested...
Whether you're already a registered vendor, considering it, or unable to attend, there are a number of ways you can make your presence known at TRLD.
  1. Purchase an ad in the TRLD On-site program:
Our attendees keep this program with them at all times!
We must have copy and payment by January 4th!
  2. Sponsor an Event: Speak to our conference coordinator regarding activities you might host at the conference. Call Linda at 888.594.1249
  3. Literature Distribution: Have your literature included in the TRLD welcome back-pack. Attendees comb through their bags, planning their conference strategies!
Your "Presents" are Requested!
Already have your booth or planning to reserve it soon? We strongly encourage you to host your own booth activities, contests and giveaways because attendees love that—TRLD hosts an activity too. We call it the Passport-to-Literacy and it was created to increase traffic in the Exhibit Hall for you. The rules are detailed below and we hope that you'll participate by pledging one giveaway for this activity!

Official Passport to Literacy Rules

  1. Attendees receive a Passport to Literacy in their welcome bag. This year the Passport is postcard format, containing only 5 sticker boxes (as opposed to the former 16)
  2. All exhibitors will receive a marker stamp. Exhibitors will place a stamp in the box and sign the company name-line next to the box. We encourage you to sign only after an attendee has had what you deem to be a quality conversation or product demonstration.
  3. Attendees will turn in completed Passport cards to Bonnie Prohaska in the Software Preview Lab, located in the back of the exhibit hall. If an attendee completes their Passport and turns it in for a drawing, they may request another card for the same day, or each day following. (Additional passports will be available in the Preview Lab and at the Registration Desk) We do not want to limit attendees from seeing more than 5 exhibitors per day, and yet we want to encourage them to keep coming to the Exhibit Hall each day for a chance to win.
  4. Everyday, 15 minutes before the close of the Exhibit Hall, drawings will be held and winners announced.
  5. Prize, Donating Company and Winner will be prominently posted in the registration area to generate excitement.
  6. Remaining Passports from the drawing (the non-winners) will be disposed of each day. Again, we're doing this because we want to encourage folks to consistently visit the exhibit hall throughout the conference!

Passport to Literacy Prize Donations

  1. Daily drawings will be done for only those giveaways carrying a value of more than dollars—we want to incent our attendees to participate!
  2. If you haven't already contacted us regarding your giveaway, make your pledge by clicking the link below.
  3. Keep giveaways in your booth—after each daily drawing you will receive the Passport postcard with winner's contact information. Winners will check the board daily and be responsible for visiting your booth to collect their prize.
  4. HAVE FUN!!!

Why TRLD?
TRLD draws 600 to 900 dedicated and focused educators in the fields of reading, writing, literacy and technology from the US, Canada and internationally.

If you have not exhibited at TRLD before, you need to know why TRLD is unique. Size does matter—we consider TRLD to be intimate and so do our attendees. Some of the things they enjoy most are all of the opportunities to speak one-on-one with literacy experts, exhibitors and colleagues.

We've heard over and over that the quality of our attendees is unmatched—these folks are here to look, listen and learn!

Here's some data around last year's attendees:

Of our 2007 Attendees:
  • 97% spent an average of 2 to 6 hours in the exhibit hall
  • 65% from the top 15 states receiving the most federal funding for instructional materials
  • 60% have district/system wide decision-making authority
  • 28% have building level decision-making authority

You need to be there!
